white energy at the Road to Green Summit 2026

Road to Green Summit Cologne 2026: Dr. Andreas Seebach of white energy in conversation with Jochen Schenk (ZIA – German Real Estate Committee) on ESG building data and the decarbonization of real estate.
Road to Green 2026

At the Road to Green Summit 2026 in Cologne, representatives from the real estate industry, the energy sector, and PropTech discussed key challenges in decarbonizing buildings and the role of ESG building data in transforming the real estate sector.

The event made it clear that, in order to achieve climate goals for existing buildings, the industry needs reliable, standardized, and verifiable energy and building data.

Coalition-X Workshop: Data Infrastructure for ESG Building Data

A key part of the event’s program was the workshop organized by the Coalition-X initiative, which was attended by approximately 100 participants from the real estate and energy sectors.

The discussion focused on how ESG building data can be standardized and reliably shared among owners, service providers, banks, and investors in the future.

As regulatory requirements become more stringent and expectations from investors and financial institutions continue to rise, the quality and availability of building data are becoming increasingly important.

Coalition-X: Standardized Building Data for the Real Estate Industry

The Coalition-X initiative aims to establish a neutral data infrastructure for real estate and ESG building data.

The planned Trust Framework is intended to enable standardized, secure, and traceable data exchange among market participants, thereby laying an important foundation for sustainable real estate strategies.

white energy as an initiative partner

As an initiative partner, white energy is actively contributing its expertise in energy data, building data, and energy efficiency in existing buildings to the development of this ecosystem.

The discussions at the Road to Green Summit have once again shown that the decarbonization of the real estate sector is not driven solely by new technologies; above all, transparent, verifiable, and standardized building data is crucial.
